An enlarged and illustrated edition of the book first published in 1957. The story of Italian violin dealer and collector Luigi Tarisio (1796-1854) whose life's work was the search for fine violins. His famously greatest coup was the acquistion in 1828 of a 1716 Stradivarius in unused condition, which came to be known as "The Messiah."
