"Yellow Bird" is these days mostly remembered for his 1854 novel "The Life and Adventures of Joaquin Murieta." The writings reprinted here reveal an eloquent and passionate activist for the rights of the North American Indian. Edition of 650 copies designed and printed by Peter Koch at Black Stone Press, San Francisco.
