Also known as "Barlaam and Josaphat" the story of the Buddha retold as a Christian saint. Introductory text includes discussions of the Syriac, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Armenian, Georgian, Greek, and Latin versions of the story. Following Budge's English translation of the work are translations of two related short texts: "The Preaching of Saint Thomas in India" and "The Acts of Saint Thomas in India."
