Dean Ropp's introduction to this scarce brochure states that it was produced "to mark the 75th year of the school." At the present time SAIC traces its origins to 1866, in fact celebrating its 150th anniversary this year (2016). However, the Art Institute of Chicago states its founding year as 1879 which is likely the origin date applied in 1954. Scarce - only 2 copies on WorldCat.
