Nice set of the first complete English-language edition of one of the greatest historical novels in any language. First 3 volumes with 1886 date on title page, Gottsberger imprint on copyright page, 4th and 6th volume with 1887 date on title page, 5th volume with 1886 title page date but no Gottsberger imprint on copyright page. Binder's round embossed stamp to front blank of first volume "Bound by H.G. Collins, 93 Federal St. Boston" with text surrounding a Star of David and pyramid symbol. In 1888 H.G. Collins, printers, applied for membership in the Master Printers' Club with this address as their offices. By 1904, 93 Federal St. was home to Lothrop, Lee and Shepard Publisher.
