Originally published in 1928 by the California Historical Society in an edition of only 330 copies, this "Definitive Edition" corrects editorial errors and adds new material from other primary sources. Laid in is a autograph letter from editor Charles Camp to printer Lawton Kennedy addressing typographical questions relating to the book. The letter (an aerogramme) is postmarked Western Australia 13 Sep, 1960.
