Unknown recipient. The first paragraph an apparent response to a request for an opinion on "Miss Holtby" - likely Winifred Holtby 1898-1935 - English writer and feminist. Her best-known work is "South Riding" published posthumously in 1936. The second paragraph has Coppard disparaging the writing of DHL (D. H. Lawrence).
