n.p. n.p., 1924-1930. 5 letters on 5 sheets, 9 x 7 inches, unlined wove paper, in ink, signed, various dates. All about very good. Item #23071
All are addressed to "Capt. Heath" or simply "Heath." 3 are dated 1927, the others 1928 and 1929. Heath was the editor of the literary magazine "The Bermondsey Book," published quarterly, 1923-1930. The first letter takes up both sides of the sheet with Coppard's opinions and criticism of content in the March, 1927 issue of "The Bermondsey Book." The remaining letters all concern Coppard as a lecturer at the Bermondsey Bookshop - London home of the quarterly journal.
