The entries in the Note-Book date from about 1793 to 1818 and include poems and fragments, memoranda, musings, drawings, sketches, etc. Following Blake's death in 1827 the Note-Book was kept by his widow until she gave it to William Palmer, brother of Blake's friend Samuel Palmer who in turn sold it to Dante Gabriel Rossetti in 1847. Edition of 650 copies, this #253.
