The first volume explores the various editions of the work, beginning with the French original - "Le Compost et Kalendrier des Bergiers" - Paris 1493. The second volume contains a facsimile of the Paris edition of 1593 printed in blackletter type, in English, profusely illustrated from wood engravings. The third volume is a typeset reprint of Pynson's London edition of 1506. Edition limited to 300 copies, this #4. Signed and with presentation inscription on the half title page by the editor to Sir Henry Howarth, and with autograph letter from editor to same laid in.
