Treatise II of The Bridgewater Treatises on the power, wisdom, and goodness of God as manifested in creation. Author John Kidd (1775-1851) was Regius Professor of Medicine in the University of Oxford. He was trained also as a chemist and geologist. His treatise here is informed by his scientific training, though constrained by adherence to the fundamentally religious aims of the Bridgewater Treatises' charter.
