"Map of the Common Lands Belonging to the Mayor & Commonality of the City of New York. Compiled January, 1850 by John T. Serrell. Arthur & Burnet Lith. 61 Wall St." is in near fine condition and shows an area between 48th - 93rd Streets and First Avenue to Tenth Avenue - parts of what are now Midtown, Central Park and the Upper East SIde. Scarce, OCLC/Worldcat locates only 1 copy of this report, without the map (Philadelphia Library Co.). Map not found on OCLC/Worldcat, though there is a copy in the New York Historical Society Map Collection. Sabin 54212 lists several NYC Comptroller reports but does not include this one.
