The charming account of Stevenson's sojourn on the slopes of Mount St. Helena at the head of the Napa Valley, during the summer of 1880. Prideaux notes that "The earliest issues of this book have inserted at the end a catalogue. . . dated October 1883, but some copies have a catalogue dated November 1887, showing that the first edition of the book was still in print so late as that year."
