Some stains to text and occasional tear to margins of pages, bit of rubbing to joints near head of spine. Still a sturdy and presentable copy. Item #13570
Title page states "Third edition" though this is rather further on down the road than that. First published in London in 1806, several editions quickly followed, including printings in the major American cities. This is actually the third New York edition (the first was 1814). An excellent cookery book full of recipes for all kinds of fare, from puff pastry to beer. (Lowenstein #67; Bitting pp 410-11, 583 various editions; Oxford p 135 for London edition).
