Riker, circa 1837. 50 leaves, including several on yellow and green stock, decorative title and 5 copperplate engravings with tissue guards; octavo, full morocco with elaborate cover ornaments in gilt and blind, original owner name "Harriet H. Stone" in gilt on front cover. About half the leaves contain manuscript lines of verse addressed to Miss Stone, most with themes suggesting an occasion of parting. Most are signed and dated; dates range from 1837-1840. One particulary lovely page has text in French and with a watercolored bouquet of flowers at top of page. First gathering not properly seated, some pages toned, binding lightly rubbed at edges. Item #21821
