Driven by the belief that Aramaic was the language of Jesus, native Aramaic speaker and member of the Assyrian Church of the East, biblical scholar George M. Lamsa (1892-1975) translated the Aramaic Pishitta bible texts into modern English. He also wrote numerous books analyzing the many substantial differences found between the Pishitta and versions of the bible based on Hebrew and Greek texts. This copy signed and inscribed by the author: "With best wishes of the author, George M. Lamsa, April 1971" with 2 words in Aramaic script below.
