Nirenstein's real estate atlases provide an interesting snapshot of the state of urban developement in the mid 20th century. The retail centers of 41 cities are mapped, photographed, and analyzed. The publisher's price in 1947 was $250, a significant expense in 1946 and no doubt a contributing factor to the scarcity of these volumes today.
